About the Junior Tuesday Musical Club

The Junior Tuesday Musical Club was established in 1924 as a department of the Tuesday Musical Club to develop the capacity in young people to live a life rich in meaning through an appreciation of the beauty of music using the best of music literature with emphasis on the masters. In addition, it serves to:

• Promote friendship among young people;
• Encourage the study and performance of fine repertoire;
• Encourage excellence in musical performance;
• Offer an opportunity to perform competitively on an annual basis.

Monthly meetings are held during which students are given the opportunity to perform for fellow club members, demonstrating their growth in the finer points of musicianship.
